Earplugs for Concerts & Festivals: A Buying Guide
Choose concert earplugs by fit, sound and how you will use them. A pair should stay comfortably in place, have a stated attenuation rating and come with clear fitting instructions. For repeat gigs, also consider cleaning, storage and whether you will remember to carry them.
FREQOFF is a drummer-founded brand offering reusable high-fidelity earplugs at €35 per pair, with a compact carry case. This guide explains what to check before choosing a pair for a concert or festival.

What should you check before buying concert earplugs?
Start with fit
Check the available sizes before choosing a colour. FREQOFF comes in one size; its six colour combinations are not different sizes. If you have had trouble with earplugs slipping out, ask us about fit before ordering. A pair that will not stay comfortably in place needs a different fitting solution.
Decide what you want from the listening experience
FREQOFF uses a passive acoustic filter designed to reduce overall sound levels while keeping the listening experience more balanced. It needs no batteries or charging. Wearing earplugs still changes what you hear; they do not make a loud venue silent or guarantee unchanged sound.
Considering a different style? Read our filtered versus foam earplug comparison before deciding.
Look beyond the number on the packaging
FREQOFF carries a stated 24 dB SNR rating when used as directed. The rating is not a promise of exactly 24 dB reduction for every person or every event. Fit and use affect the protection you receive. Our full buying guide explains the product, materials and rating.
Choose your FREQOFF finish
All four finishes use the same high-fidelity filter and stated SNR rating. The choice is visual:
- Black — Black Purple or Black White.
- Chrome — Chrome Purple or Chrome Black.
- Gold — Gold Black.
- Pink — Pink White.
Each pair includes a carry case and uses reusable, washable medical-grade silicone. Shop all FREQOFF earplugs.
A practical concert and festival checklist
- Before leaving: pack both earplugs and their case with your ticket and other essentials. Check their condition and read the supplied fitting instructions.
- Before the music starts: give yourself time to fit them correctly. Resolve discomfort or a loose fit before entering a loud area.
- Between sets: plan where you can take a quieter break. For a festival, include breaks in your schedule instead of filling every gap with another stage.
- After the show: follow the supplied cleaning instructions, let the pair dry fully and return it to the case.
The World Health Organization recommends wearing earplugs correctly in noisy venues, keeping away from loudspeakers and taking breaks in quieter places. Sound level, time and repeated exposure all matter. Earplugs are one part of that plan; persistent ringing or hearing difficulties are reasons to seek professional advice. Read WHO safe-listening guidance.
Common questions before a show
Can I wear one pair across a whole festival?
FREQOFF is reusable, but a reusable design does not establish a safe exposure time. Keep the pair clean, check its condition and fit, and plan quieter breaks. Do not use the rating alone to decide how long to stay in loud sound.
Will my order arrive before my concert?
Earplugs ship from Cyprus with an estimated delivery of 5–15 business days. That is an estimate, not a guaranteed arrival date. Check the delivery and shipping information and contact us before ordering for a fixed event date.
What if I am performing rather than watching?
